Pack 32
Instructor: Stephanie Herrera

Pack 32 invites boys in grades 1-5 to consider becoming Cub Scouts. While we are chartered though St. Barnabas Church, all boys are welcome. We offer a fun and educational program that follows the 9 purposes of Cub Scouting:

  • Influence a boy's character development and spiritual growth.
  • Develop habits and attitudes of good citizenship.
  • Encourage good sportsmanship and pride in growing strong in mind and body.
  • Improve understanding within the family.
  • Strengthen a boy's ability to get along with others.
  • Foster a sense of personal achievement by developing new interests and skills.
  • Provide fun and exciting new things to do.
  • Show a boy how to be helpful and do his best.
  • Prepare him to be a Boy Scout.
Some of the events Pack 32 participates in are campouts, service projects, and competitions like the Raingutter Regatta and Pinewood Derby, where boys have fun designing, building and racing their own vehicles. Activities are age appropriate, and all adult leaders are BSA trained and Virtus registered.

For more information about Pack 32 please contact Stephanie Herrera at sherrera@ets.org.

Centennial Ribbons/Cub Scout Academics and Sports belt loops and pins
I've had lots of requests lately to re-post this information. Here is the link showing the requirements to earn Centennial scouting ribbons. The eligibility period runs through 12/31/10, so there's still plenty of time for your Cub to earn these. Man of these requirements may be done in conjunction with your Progress Towards Rank achievements, or as part of pack events (e.g. WJR service project).

Here is the link for the Cub Scout Academics and Sports Program. While we encourage all scouts to pursue belt loops and pins, especially in those disciplines that are new to them, these do not replace completing achievements towards rank. These are best used in support of achievements you've completed, as many of the tasks are similar to the steps required for your achievements.
